Arrive in Lhasa, get the first impression of Tibet
Your arrival in Lhasa, will be greeted by local English speaking guide at airport or train station and offer traditional Tibetan Kada to welcome!
Then transfer to your hotel once our group member gather there. You will enjoy the spectacular scenery and the typical Tibetan villages on the way. Today we will just do little walk near by our hotel. Due to changes of altitude and temperature during night time will feel little altitude sickness but no worry just try to move your body and drink more water.

Lhasa Cultural Tour;
Attraction ; Drepung monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street;
Today, we firstly go to the Drepung Monastery, which is one of the ‘Greatest Six , Gelug pa monasteries in Tibet. The monastery is founded by Jamyang Choejee in 1416. Drepung means heap of rice so it is located in a valley. Altitude over there is about 4000 m above sea level, today is our first day to challenges with high altitude so we advise you to walk slow and off courses keep drinking water. Also Candy are good.
Then after lunch, you will head to the Jokhang Temple. It is the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers, where innumerable pilgrims from all part of Tibet come for worship every day. Inside, you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, which is the most venerated object in Tibetan Buddhism. We believe this statue got bless from Buddha Shakyamuni before 2500 years.
After visiting the Jokhang Temple, you can explore the bustling markets of the Barkhor Street and watch the locals as the prostrate around the Jokhang Temple. You can also do kora with local pilgrims or buy some souvenirs there.

Lhasa Cultural Tour;
Attration; Potala palace and Sera Monastery
Today we will visit the world famous Potala palace. The palace is about 1300 years old, found in 7th century during Dunpo religion. In Dunpo religion we have 42 King. And our brave 33rd King Songtsan Gampo build Potala palace, Jokang temple, Ramoche Temple also 9 other temples on the body of lay down demon to protect Tibet from natural disasters. We will need to clim up 136 m more from 3658 m, for that we will walk slow but water and other liquid things also key, small knife, nail cutter are not aloud. They will sell the water on the top. Remember candy are good. After lunch, drive to the edge of the town to visit Sera Monastery, which is another one of the ‘Great Six’ Gelug pa monasteries. The monastery is founded by Jamchen Choejee in 1419. The famous debate sessions of the monks in Sera monastery was created in 1419 and has been an important Buddhist seminary. Nowadays, the Monks debate is held at around 3-5 in the afternoon.
Lhasa- Shigatse via Gyantse 360km(B)
Attraction; Lake Yamdrok, kumbum and Palchoe monastery.
In the morning, drive to the historic town of Gyantse via Lake Yamdrok. The Lake is the transformation of a goddess, on the Gangbala Pass, you will have a clear picture of this Tibetan holy lake in turquoise, in distance you can also see the snowcapped Summit of Ninjingkangsang. Lunch at Nangkartse half way to Gyangtse. In Gyantse, we will visit Kumbum stupa and Pelchoe Monastery. The monastery is founded by local king Rapten Kundang and first Penchen Lama in 1918 so place is residence for each Penchen Lama. The important site in Gyantse is Dzong Castle which once was a battle field where Tibetan fought against British invasion.
Please Note; our guide will go to PSB (Public Security Bureau) in Gyangtse or Shigatse to apply for PSB permit for Mt. Everest, which will take about an hour.

Shigatse (3900m) to Everest Base Camp(5200)(B)
Attraction; Rungpuk monastery and Mt. Everest
Around 9 am, we will drive directly towards Mt. Everest. On the top of the Gyalwu-la pass we can see 4 of the highest mountains over 8000 meters (Mt. Everest; Mt. Makalu; Mt. Lotse; Mt. Cho Oyu) in the world at the same time, what a great picture. Before arriving at the EBC, you will first visit the highest monastery in the world-Rongbuk Monastery, which is also a good position to watch the Everest, the sunset view is fantastic when weather is good.

EBC–Saga (450km) (B)
In the morning, we can enjoy the sunrise of Everest Peak form lodging area. Then we head to saga, you can view of the worlds’14th highest peak Mt.Shishapangma (8012m), and Turquoise Lake Peiku tso(4590m). If you are lucky enough, you are very likely to see wild animals like wild donkey, wild antelope etc.

Saga to Darchen, via Lake Manasarover (450km) (B)
On the way to Darchen, you will have a chance to appreciate the stunning view of the Saga valley between Gangdise Range and Himayala Range. Meanwhile, thebeautiful grassland and local’s villages can also be seen. As we cross the Mayomla Pass(5112M), you can enjoy the spectacular vista of Mt. Naimonanyi(7694M). Then we are supposed to pass by the holy Lake Manasarover and finally arrive at the southern foot of Mt.Kailash, the most holy mountain in Tibet.

Darchen-Drirapuk (Trek 20 Km) (B)
In the morning, we are supposed to take eco-bus from Darchen to Sarshung valley. Then we will meet Yaks and porters at Sarshung village. (the cost of hiring yaks, horses, and porters are not included in the package) After that, we can begain the trek (Around 13km) from Sarshung to Drirapuk Monastery along the Lachu valley and rivers. You can enjoy the both west and north face of mountain Kailash today. Finally, we will visit Drirapuk Monastery.

Drirapuk-Zutrpuk (Trek 18km)
Today, we will trek over Dromala pass(5630m), the highest pass of the Kora. On the way you can have a rest in a teahouse. All the way, you can see locals Tibetans prostrating in the Kora path and beautiful Kadoe Lake when walk downhill. We may also visit Zutulpuk Monastery.

Zutripuk-Darchen (Trek 14 Km).
On the day three of the kora.. you will trek 7km to Zongto where you can take bus to Darchen. Along the Kora, you can see piles of Mani Stones. We will end the Trek around noon, rest in the lodging place.
Darchen- Tada (240 Km) (B)
Attraction; Guge Kingdom and Toling Tsaprang monastery
Zanda at Moincer, through a long zigzag road down and up incredibly eroded gorges and gullies, sooner the capital of the ancient kingdom of Guge can be seen down below in the valley floor. From various vantage points on the descent into Toling town, there are some of the spectacular views of canyons and sand dunes in the upper Sutlej valley. The vast sweep of the Himalayans is dicernible, as the range turns north west from Nepal and along the Indian border as far as Ladakh and Kashmir spanning several hundred kilometers. Moreover, ruins of temples and caves of ancient Guge kingdom still breathing with exquisite murals and decorative motifs that dating back more than 1000 years. Overnight at Tada.
Tada – Lake Manasarovar ( 350 Km, drove 7-8 hours) (B)
Drive to same road. Overnight at Lake Manasarovar
Lake Manasarovar to Saga (480Km, 7-8 hours drive) (B) Overnight at Saga
Saga – Shigatse (B) (350 Km, drive 6-7 hours )
We will drive back to Shigatse through the friendship highway, in Shigatse, you will enjoy a hot shower at the hotel and rest. Overnight at Shigatse.
Shigatse-Lhasa (240 Km, 5-6 hours drive) (B)
We will follow Yalong Valley back to Lhasa. On the way, you can stand on the viewing platform to view the vast Yalong River bed and visit Water Mill making Tibetan Incense material (in Summer, if time permits). Drop off at hotel in Lhasa
